Hyperion Tempo 10.5 insole (above) and Ride 14 10.5 Wide insole (bellow). Notice that the Tempos are actually wider at the top of the forefoot, but considerably narrower in around the midfoot. BTW, Ride 14 Wide is only wide in the midfoot, not a truly wide shoe IMO, but is saved by the soft/stretchy upper. One for lifestyle only, and the other one strictly for running. Yeah my retired running shoes usually turn into casual/walking shoes. Some running shoes do work well for walking and casual use but, for me, most don't. I think running shoes with toe drops of more than 6mm feel awkward for walking. And I certainly don't need 40mm or higher stack ... I like the New Balance 1080v12 and New Balance 880v12 - both have wide toeboxes and good midfoot volume but they have less cushioning, and it's somewhat firmer, than the More v3. Note the specific models. The v10 and v11 aren't as wide and didn't have as much midfoot volume. It's a gimmick -- a beautiful and expensive gimmick. It’s honestly fantastic, very soft, stable and comfortable, but with just enough bounce. The upper, and especially the heel collar and tongue, is so plush. Grip was a little lacking on wet concrete too but great on dry. Because of the firmness it feels surprisingly snappy, it doesn’t feel like a max cushioned ‘slow day’ shoe on foot.New Balance Fuelcell Propel v4 first run thoughts. They are cork so they mold to your arch, takes about 10 hours for them to get fully molded, but totally worth it.Fulton Insoles: I tried a million brands of insoles and these are the only ones I feel actually provide a good amount of arch support, which helps take pressure off the ball of your foot. I find that the Mach 5 is much more durable than the 4 and still comfortable. I plan on taking them to 500 while using the new ones on my longer runs. I am curious if anyone has expertise in recommending a good shoe for a beginner heavier runner to be used on a treadmill and/or roads? Midsole with good bounce (springboard effect), and those that are responsive are the ideal ones. PEBAX and supercritical foams like Nitro, Fuelcell, DNAFlash are to look for. However, my big concern is that it still seems to be a new formulation of their old foam (DNA flash 2.0) instead of a completely new super foam. Unless it’s a really big improvement over the old formulation I doubt it’ll have the performance to match the super foams seen in other brands and justify the $250 price tag. 25.Real Reviews. Hello, I was wondering what you guys thought were the best all around running shoes of 2022. Just wondering why people are still sleeping on Skechers. So I’ve run almost exclusively in Skechers since about 2017 and ever since the release of hyperburst I honestly never thought I’d run in another brand again. Sucks that money has been tight for me so I’ve been bargain shopping and now I’m starting to run in other brands.Hi there! A daily trainer suits you training, The Pegasus, react infinity and react miler fits that category. But I would advice you to go to a running store and try a few pairs on a treadmill and see what you enjoy running in. That’s good advice!!Got Superblast recently and it is a different beast from NB3 and Nimbus 25. While Superblast had a firmer step in feel, the cushioning is superb and responsive. It is light on foot, similar to NB3. Nimbus 25 is much more heavy to my personal taste. I use it as commute shoe and it is so comfy. The wave duel pro qtr is not for heelstrikers.
