Bought a new p365 xl, and even with my older 12/15 rd mags, i couldnt get the slide to release. I can get it to release ok with no mag. Must just need to be broken in. You shouldn’t force the slide release on an empty mag. The P365 premiered in 2018 and was unlike any gun we’d ever seen before. It was the size of a single stack 9mm with the capacity of a subcompact double stack. SIG designed a unique magazine that maximized the gun’s size efficiently. The P365 got it’s namesake because its a firearm you can carry every day of the year.It is now stuck at 7/5 o'clock. The slide sits about 1/8" from the back end of the frame, but racks ok and can be locked back with the release/catch. Also, can't get the slide off of the frame, now. Can't insert a mag, can't pull trigger fully.
