How to change tether distance in ASA? My friend and I are trying to play on a non dedicated server. We keep being pulled around by the tether distance, we can't find anywhere to change it though in the settings. There is no host / local option that everyone talks about in other posts. You can modify the entry in the ini file directly, and honestly I'd say that's the way to go anyway rather than monkeying ...If enough people are unhappy change may happen. More than likely ASA takes more resources than the old version. Get a super computer and you can then max out the tether distance, or just run a dedicated server as the game is designed to be run and it will work for you. As long as the host is on xbox series x with the s/x upgraded version of ark then yes, there is no tether (outside of water and caves, those will still pull tether) Cant remember if ps5 is the same.
